Studio Sora is an interior and building design studio that creates homes around the lives of the people who’ll live in them. We don’t start with what a home should look like. We start with what it should feel like.

A studio that begins with feeling, not floor plans.

Studio Sora is the dedicated design arm of custom home builder Pacific Blue — a new identity, a new website, and a new way of bringing interior and building design under a single roof. We were asked to give it a voice as quiet, considered, and confident as the homes it makes.

The Brief

A respected builder, an unspoken design practice, and a market that was asking for both at once.

Pacific Blue had been quietly delivering custom homes on the Sunshine Coast for two decades. Inside the business, a building designer and an interior designer were working closely with clients from earliest sketch to final fit-out — but the practice had no name, no voice of its own, and no way for prospective clients to find it.

The brief was to surface that practice. Not to spin out a separate company, but to give the design discipline its own identity, its own tone, and its own digital home — while keeping it visibly tethered to the build credibility of the parent. One studio. Two heritages. A single conversation with the client.

We took the work end-to-end: positioning, name validation, verbal identity, logo and visual system, photography direction, site architecture, UX, copywriting, and Webflow build.

Strategic Position

Find a position the category has overlooked, then defend it with every word and pixel.

The architecture and custom-home category on the Coast is crowded with two familiar archetypes: the aesthetic-led architect who treats the brief as a vehicle for their own portfolio, and the volume builder who sells from a template. Buyers told us, plainly, that neither felt like them.

Our positioning located Studio Sora in the white space between: a studio that begins with the client's life, not with form, but with full construction reality embedded from day one. The strategic line that fell out of those interviews — "we don't start with what a home should look like, we start with what it should feel like" — became the brand's organising idea, and the home page's first paragraph.

That single sentence was the lock. Everything downstream — name, mark, type, photography, site structure — had to earn its place against it.
